“For me, the wonderful aspect of this series is the way Kwak literalizes her ideas, drawing on processes that are commonsensical, like folding paper or stitching or recycling of pieces of cloth (as in patchwork), all suggesting the mending of wounds….Each element, (the materials themselves or their manipulation) is thought of as a part of nature, as indeed, natural.”
